The majority of my work on this show was creating and painting banners. I created the gym banners by measuring the fabric first, then creating a frame of dowel rods to support their shape. It was important to me to take time measuring and leveling the letters to insure they looked precise and uniform when hung next to each other on the truss. The “Spelling Bee” banner was a challenge in replicating the unique font of the show’s logo.
