The floor treatment was achieved starting with a wet blend of two tones of brown. After that, the planks were laid out and then sharpied. Two glazes were alternated for the wood grain. A green and purple glaze were blended on top of that before using many colors of brown glazes alternated per each plank to achieve the final look.
The mahogany wood treatment was achieved with a candy-striped base of neutral browns. Two wood grain colors were used on top. To get the rich red tone of the wood, a red glaze was used over everything. For dimension, a dark glaze was added in the crevices for shadow, and a glossy finish was applied on top.
