I sampled the technique and mixed the color for these wall panels. Overtop of a light green base, a darker green was sponged on for dimension and a very watered down brown was used nearest to the edges for shadow.
To begin these drops, the fabric was laid out, gridded, and sketched using the elevations for reference. The sketches were set in place with marker before beginning the layers of color. with very watered down paint in order to allow the drops to withstand being rolled up and deployed every performance. Many layers of color, shading, and lining, and highlighting achieved the final looks for these drops, all using the same paints mentioned before.
